Richard A. White, 61, of Athens, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 15, 2025. Rich was the son of Shirley O’Leary and the late Richard L. White.

In addition to his father, Rich was preceded in death by his step-father, Thomas O’Leary.

Besides his mother, Rich is survived by sisters, Lee Ann (Jeff) Morosco, Darla (Sarah) White, and Teresa (Kelly) Wood; best friend, Gary Socha; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Sylvester Keyes.

Rich was a 1982 graduate of Crooksville High School. As an Ohio University graduate, he was a proud Bobcat who avidly followed and enjoyed all Bobcat sports.

Arrangements are by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio.
