David Sufronko, age 66, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away August 20, 2025, at the Laurels of Athens, Athens, Ohio, after battling cancer for 13 years.
Dave was born February 9, 1959, in Nelsonville, Ohio to George Sufronko and Barbara Sufronko-Wilson. He graduated in the class of 1977, from Nelsonville-York High School, and was inducted into the Nelsonville-York Hall of Fame; a member of the Aladdin Shriners, Paramuthia Lodge 25, a Master Mason, Scottish Rites, and a 32 degree Mason; retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation; and enjoyed birding, working his garden, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Yvonne Sufronko; son, Kyle Sufronko; daughter, Gina (Kevin Rodgers) Sufronko; step-sons, Aaron (Madeline Isaacs) Wickmann and Jason (Shannon Rogers) Wickmann; grandchildren, Klayton and Koltoyn Sufronko, Aubrey and Bailey Bateman, Paxton Rodgers, Austin, Levi (Sophia), Shawna, Kristopher, Chloe, Ian and Sydney Wickmann; aunt, Janet (Dave) Weaver; cousin, Harry Nixon; nephew, Brandon Sufronko; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Kim Sufronko; sister-in-law, Susan Robinette; and brother-in-law, Gerald (Donna) Robinette.
Dave was preceded in death by his father and mother; stepfather, William Wilson; brothers, Paul Sufronko and Dale Sufronko; and brother-in-law, David Robinette.
Masonic Services and Funeral Services will begin at 6 pm, on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating.
Calling Hours will be observed 1-3 and 4-6 pm at the funeral home.
