William L. Lee Jr., age 77, of The Plains, Ohio, formerly of Millfied passed away September 6, 2025, at Hickory Creek of Athens.

Bill was born September 13, 1947, in Athens, Ohio to William L. Lee Sr. and Frances Woodgerd-Barnhart.  He served in the Vietnam War; enjoyed sports; loved watching The Ohio State Football Team; and spending time with his little buddies                        

Surviving are his 3 children, Shelly (Jamie) Rutter, Brian (Laurie) Lee, and Tracey (Travis) Jack; 6 grandchildren, Brittany Crook, Crystal Allison, Jessica Wogan, Austin Lee, Ashley Tanner, and Autumn Lee; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Sue (Gary) Webb, Alma Sickles, and Diana (Kenny) Pierce; and Many nieces, nephews, and the staff of Hickory Creek.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Debra Lee; his parents; stepmother, Jean Lee; and brother-in-law, Kenny Sickles; and he will be missed dearly and remembered forever.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday September 10, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Gary Alton officiating. Burial was in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, Ohio. Military graveside services were conducted by the Combined Color Guard.

Calling hours were observed 11am-1pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
