Evelyn Marie Lenigar, 69 of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at O’Bleness Memorial on September 15, 2025, after a 14-year long battle with several health conditions. 

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, the late Earlon and Helen Roberts; her sister, Regina Pierce; and her nephew, Scott Roberts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Steve Lenigar Sr.; her brother, Denzil (Millie) Roberts; and her sister, Mary Rush.

She was an amazing mother to all her children, Steve “Fred” Lenigar, Mark Lenigar, Tammy (Paul) Doughty, Tina (Barry) Lowery, and Vicki Lenigar (Hunter). 

She was a loving grandmother to 12 grandkids, Ashley, Dakota (Sanae), Austin (Hanna), Steve “Bubba” (Natasha), Dustin (Marla), Andrew (Taylor), Brooklyn (Kyle), Marissa, Baylee (Cameron), Logan (Hanna), Piper, and Bentley; and her great-grandkids, Kensley, Maverick, Danny, Rayden, Theannesta, Sophia, Tracen, Ryker, Adeline and Boazmen.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a very special niece, Sherry James (Phillip).

Evelyn enjoyed spending her time supporting her Miller Falcons; watching her online sale shows; scrolling Facebook; and talking to her family every day. To know Evelyn, was to love her. 

Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM, and her funeral services on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11AM at Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio.

Graveside services will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.
