Charles E. Dowler, age 76, of Carbon Hill, Ohio, passed away December 26, 2025 at his son’s residence, Nelsonville, Ohio.

Charles was born May 16, 1949, in Albany, Ohio to Lawrence Emerson Dowler and Evelyn McConaha Dowler. Formerly worked for the Hocking County Sheriff; formerly worked at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail; a former member of the Ward Township Fire Dept.                        

Surviving are his wife of 37 years Michelle Dowler; children Jared Thomas of Carbon Hill, Jacob Thomas of Nelsonville; Aerial White of Carbon Hill; 7 grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter; brother Edward Dowler; sister Wanda Taylor.

There will be no services. Arrangements are by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
