Barry Freeman, age 59, of Amanda, Ohio, passed away March 9, 2026, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
Barry was born June 4, 1966, in Logan, Ohio, to Kenneth and Beverly Freeman. Barry had such a fun and goofy way about him and could make anyone laugh. He had a special ability to always see the good in people, no matter the circumstances.
Barry loved music, Ohio State football, the outdoors, hunting, and Christmas. Christmas at the Freeman home was always over the top and filled with joy. He also deeply enjoyed spending time at the farm in Jackson, his beloved cows, his bull Sampson, and the donkey.
Barry was a true family man. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished the time he spent with his grandson, Cooper, and with his loved ones as a whole.
Barry worked for TD Petroleum, where he drove one of the Angry Farmer tankers. His truck was always spotless—something Barry took great pride in always.
He is survived by his loving and patient wife of 25 years, Stacey Freeman; his mother, Beverly Freeman; his mother-in-law, Vicki Vorhees; sons, Garret (Dani) Smith and Jaron (Audrey) Smith; grandson, Cooper; and a grandbaby on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Tanya (Steve) Aldridge, Tammy (Tanner) Meyer, Tina (Jim) White, and Keith (Katie) Freeman; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mike (Michelle) Gourley, Todd (Trish) Dugan, and Scott (Marianne) Richards.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Ken Freeman; father-in-law, Doug Vorhees; grandparents, Oak Hammond, Margaret Hammond, John Freeman, and Mary Freeman; uncle, Dean Freeman; and cousin, Doug Walker.
Funeral services will be announced for all to attend at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio, after Barry is brought home.
