Jimmy Lee Hook Jr. age 65, of Glouster, Ohio, passed away April 7, 2026, at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio.

Jimmy was born February 26, 1961, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Jimmy Lee Hook Sr. and Ethel Faye (Hamilton) Hook. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and fishing with his brothers. He enjoyed ginseng and mushroom hunting.                   

Surviving are sisters, Kathy (Benny) Whaley of Glouster, Debra Hook of Chauncey, and Rebecca Shuster of McConnelsville; brother, David (Mary) Bailey of Albany; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary Ferguson, Donna Leniger; brother Earl Matheny.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday April 14, 2026, at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Elijah Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Hook Cemetery, Glouster, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed 10 A.M. – 1P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with Jimmy’s funeral expenses.
