Carolyn Sue Sowers, age 86, of Logan, Ohio, passed away April 21, 2026, at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.

Carolyn was born January 6, 1940, in Logan, Ohio to James and Ethel Harden. She loved working in her flower beds and gardens, collecting ceramic dolls, and going shopping at Chinese auctions, Flea markets, and yard sales. Carolyn especially loved babysitting, holding babies, and visiting with her siblings while they were still alive.

Surviving are her children, Rick Sowers, Larry (Sherie) Sowers, Brian (Lisa) Sowers, Dean (Rhonda) Sowers, and Kim (Jason) Lipp; grandchildren, Kevin, Josh, Braydon, Lauren, Jessica, Kayla, Jenna, Brandon, Erica, Amanda, Brian, Megan, Justin, and Kassie; numerous great-grandchildren; caregiver, Rachel Mason; special friends, Bob and his daughter, Abby Goings; and grand dog, Bella.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Sowers; parents; grandchildren, Kathy and Kimberly; siblings, Bob Harden, Raymond (Geneva) Harden, Melvin (Leoma) Harden, John (Shirley) Harden, Helen (Dale) Hedges, Martha (Raymond) Moore, Marilyn (Joe) Fisher, Ronny (Brenda) Harden, Don Harden, Tim Harden, and Jim (Rita) Harden; infant siblings, Mary and Marie Harden; special friend, Ruth Flowers; and grand dog, Macey.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Logan Church of the Nazarene on 650 Walhonding Ave. in Logan, Ohio, with Melissa Collinsworth officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio, and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Logan Church of the Nazarene.
