Gary Lynn Johnson, age 68, of McConnelsville Ohio, passed away May 3, 2026, at Hickory Creek of Athens, in The Plains, Ohio.

Gary was born on January 2, 1958, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Ralph Leslie Johnson and Ruth Marie (Tomlinson) Johnson. He was a member of the Malta VFW; and he enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.                        

Surviving is his son, Timmy Johnson of Waterford; brother, Danny (Sue) Johnson of Copley Ohio; sister, Janice (Wayne) Bullock of Malta; grandchildren, David Johnson, Sheryl Johnson, and Joseph Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Hornacek; brother, Allen Johnson; and niece, Lisa Johnson.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., May 9, 2026, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed 11-1 P.M. on May 9, 2026, at the funeral home.
