N. Dolores Inboden

N. Dolores Inboden, age 89, of Logan, Ohio passed away quietly in her sleep May 2, 2026, at her home. She was born on July 30, 1936, in Rockbridge, Ohio and graduated from Logan High School in 1954.  She married Larry, her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, on December 17, 1966, at Bethany UM Church.  Together they built a life centered on deep faith and raising their two daughters.

From graduation until she started a family, Dolores worked as a legal secretary for Ed Johnston, Neal Dillon, for whom she was also office manager, and others.  After her children were grown, she worked with her sister in physician’s offices in Columbus, then at Tri-County Mental Health and Counseling.

As a devoted Christian, she served in many capacities over the years, such as Sunday School teacher, church treasurer, VBS teacher, and whatever was needed at Bethany Church.  Later, during her many years at The Logan Church of the Nazarene, she faithfully supported missionaries, children’s and community ministries, and her own card ministry which she continued until the Lord called her home.

Dolores “Dolly” Inboden was known for being exceptionally kind, thoughtful and compassionate to all she met.  She had a life-long love of animals, flowers, children, and the beauty of nature, as seen in her unique ability to find four-leafed clovers.  She was extremely close to her sister Janey, with whom she shared many adventures growing up as girls in the country, and later as adults.

Dolly was a beautiful soul who always considered others’ needs before her own.  No matter the situation or her own health challenges, she voiced no complaints and always looked for the cloud’s silver lining.  She will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering faith, and devotion to her family.

Dolly is survived by her husband Larry Inboden, daughters Laurel (Douglas) Ellis, Crystal (Keith) Hood, grandsons Isaiah and Gabriel Hood, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lelia Sniff, sister Janey and her husband Kenneth Mohler, sister Carol Del Toro, and son-in-law William Messner.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, May 8, 2026, from 11am-12pm at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, 204 W. Main St., Logan, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, 650 Walhonding Ave., Logan, Ohio 43138, or at logannazarene.com.
