Lucille Martin, 90 of Athens, passed away peacefully Thursday, July16th at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus Ohio with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.
Born Feb.23 1936 in Columbus Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Mash.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, New Marshfield Ohio.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to the Athens Senior center every Wednesday, where she spent time with her four sisters playing wheelchair volleyball and participating in all the events.
She had no greater joy than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by a son Mike (Ibby) Martin. 4 sisters, Pauline Mathias, Joan Stump, Shirley Hutchinson (Frank), and Vicky Miller. 9 grandchildren, Joshua Martin (Jenna), Dustin Martin, Christopher Martin, Nicole Cossin, Heather Thompson (Pete), Kinesthe Artiaga (Austin), Ashley Campbell (Frank), Misty Adams (Brad), and Austin Farson (Cherish). Great-grandchildren, Jeramiah McGrath, Knevek, Aurican, Ian, Jabe, Elijah, Lilith, Lily, Sidney, Frankie, Caysen, Piper, and Colton, two great-great-grandchildren, Axton and Oakley and several nieces and nephews.
Besides per parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James A Martin, her daughter Cindy, a sister Patsy Rutter and a brother Jesse Mash.
Honoring her wishes, a graveside service will be held, Thursday July 23, at 11:00 am at New Marshfield Cemetery. Arrangements made by Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville Ohio.
