Alberta Jean Stanley, age 99, of The Plains, Ohio, passed away November 15, 2025, at Embassy of Logan.

Alberta was born October 9, 1926, in Doanville, Ohio to William Pancake and Cora Laudermilk Pancake. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, collecting porcelain Dolls.                        

Surviving are her son, Fred (Evelyn) Phillips of Carbon Hill; daughters, Carolyn (Larry) Welch of Athens and Shirley (Roger) Mohler of Millfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and daughters-in-law, Geneva Phillips of Logan and Diane Phillips of Athens.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents; husbands John Phillips, Richard Stanley; sons Edward Phillips, Gary Phillips; 2 grandsons; 1 granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at 1 pm., Thursday November 20, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed 11am-1pm Thursday at the funeral home.
