Ashley “Bug” Adams

Ashley “Bug” Adams, 38, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in her residence August 06, 2025. Ashley was born March 26, 1987 in Lancaster, Ohio.

Although Ashley attended Amanda Clearcreek through her elementary and junior high school years, she would later graduate from Logan Elm High School and Pickaway-Ross career center with a focus on early childhood education. Aside from her aspirations to become a teacher, Ashley was also an avid animal lover (especially cats) and often spoke about, one day, becoming a veterinarian.

Growing up in a small country town, Ashley’s hobbies included camping, swimming, roller skating, Friday-night football games, hanging out with friends, and having family cookouts. Ashley was also a big fan of Disney. You could always find her room decorated with Disney characters and other Disney memorabilia, especially that of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, after which her beloved cat (Minnie) was named.

Ashley had a heart of gold. Her friends and family meant the world to her, and her to them. Though Ashley’s physical presence is no more, her vibrant, cheerful, and loveable spirit lives on in the people whose lives she touched. Her absence will be profoundly felt in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Ashley is survived by her son, Isaiah Scott (Tamra Badamy) of Massillon, OH; grandson, Kai Steven David Scott of Massillon, OH; mother, Liesa (Charles) Kuhn of Amanda, OH; step-mother, Mary Adams of Chillicothe, OH; siblings, Clifford (Sheila) Adams of Lancaster, OH, Amanda (Larry) Carter of South Shore, KY, Chris (Leslie) Adams of Greenfield, OH, Joseph Cordle of Lancaster, OH, Vienna Kuhn of WV, Chuck (Zoyie) Kuhn Jr. of Lancaster, OH, Kevin (Lissy) Kuhn of Haydenville, OH, Tera (Chad) McNeal of Chillicothe, OH, Ricky Jackson of Chillicothe, OH, Samantha Lurty of Chillicothe, OH; grandmother, Marie Parry of Lancaster, OH; longtime close friend, Greg McGowan of Steubenville, OH; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur (Jean) Adams, Robert Parry, Carl Young; father, Clifford Adams; nephews, Dylan Adams, and Isaac Adams.

A Celebration of Ashley’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Visitation will begin two hours before service from 4-6 PM. The funeral home is located at 204 West Main St. Logan, OH 43138.
