Betty Lou Kilkenny, age 82, of New Plymouth, Ohio, passed away March 19, 2026, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio.

Betty was born July 21, 1943, in Hocking County, Ohio to Lester E. Haybron and Juanita J. Haybron. She attended Coonville Holliness Church and was a founding member of the Starr Township Fire Department.                   

Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Gene) Armes; son, Robert (Chistin) Kilkenny; grandchild, Alexis (Samel Huntsberger) Kilkenny; great-grandchild, Ayden and Teylar Armes; brother, Donald (Mary) Haybron; sisters, Marge Krannitz, Ruth (Ed) Smith, Brenda (Barry) Green, and Linda (John) Green; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Jim Reed; and her, Miss Kitty.

Betty was preceded in death by parents; husband, Jerry Kilkenny; grandson, Jeff Armes; brothers, Lester “Eugene” Haybron, Clarence “Toon” Haybron, and Gary Haybron; and brother-In-Law, Paul Krannitz.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.
