Brenda K Ballinger

Brenda K Ballinger, age 79, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away April 29, 2026 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Brenda was born August 10, 1946 in Pittsburgh Hollow, Ohio to Harold Douglas and Ilene Martin Douglas. She graduated from Buchtel York High School in 1964; worked for 33 years for GTE-Verizon; was a teacher for 20 years at the First Presbyterian Church Pre-School in Nelsonville; longtime member of the Buchtel United Methodist Church; loved her church family, shopping, and her beach vacations.                   

Surviving are her husband of 54 years James Ballinger; daughter Brandi Ballinger Blair of Lancaster; sisters in-law Nancy Davis, Rebecca Figgins, Iris Easterling; several nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; brother Lester Douglas.

Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Tuesday May 5, 2026 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Dave Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.

Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8pm Monday and 10-11am Tuesday at the funeral home at the funeral home.
