Cody Ryne Schwalbauch, 39, of Laurelville, passed away on September 16, 2025. Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, on December 19, 1985, Cody is a graduate of Logan Elm High School and participated in wrestling, football, and baseball throughout the years.
He was known for his fierce loyalty and protective nature, often delivering snarky comebacks that would put any middle schooler to shame. He was a helping soul, always ready to do anything he could for those around him. If you ever needed anyone in your corner, Cody would be there. Not to mention he was the coolest uncle ever.
Cody was preceded in death by grandparents Bill and Martha McNeal, and Roy and Cathern Schwalbauch, uncle Rocky Schwalbauch, and best friend Justin Speakman. He is survived by his beloved daughter Devyn McNichols, parents Dianna Rauschendorfer and Rick (Karen) Schwalbauch, stepmother Susan Schwalbauch, wife Laurel Carroll, stepson Xavier, siblings Aaron (Kayla) Shwalbauch, special nephew Rocky Schwalbauch, Libby (Forrest) Baldwin, grandparents Herb and Pat Speakman,stepdaughter Skyla Kneece, beloved feline companion ZeeZues, and an army of friends and adopted family members who loved him
We will mourn the loss and celebrate Cody’s life. There will be a memorial service at a later date to give loved ones and friends time together to share and enjoy memories of the big hearted person he was.
Arrangements are by the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio.
