Donald James Lantz III, age 55, of Logan, Ohio, passed away December 16, 2025, at his residence.

D.J. was born January 19, 1970, in Logan, Ohio to Donald James Lantz Jr. and Jean Fraizer Lantz. He graduated from Logan High School; worked at Smead Manufacturing in Logan for over 20 years; and enjoyed spending time at the river with family & special river friends Titus, Joey, Troy and Cathy.                        

Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Rhonda Bensonhaver Lantz; sisters, Susan (Dean) Jenkins, Lucinda (Dave) Berry, Melinda (Eric) Thompson; sisters-in-law Anita Bensonhaver, Janina Bensonhaver, Lucinda (Scott) Cordle, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and his dog pals Rosey & Flash.

D.J. was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Donald James Lantz Sr. & Ruth Lantz, and Lloyd & Nellie Fraizer; and his beloved companion, Smokey.

Calling hours were observed 2-4 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Hocking County Humane Society, in D.J.’s memory.
