Donna R. McCollister, age 90, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away October 17, 2026 at her residence, Nelsonville, Ohio.

Donna was born July 5, 1936 in Athens, Ohio to Dewey Hunter and Inez Smith Hunter . She retired, after 33 years, from William Brooks Shoe Company in Nelsonville.                        

Surviving are are daughters Barb McCune of Nelsonville, Robin Stancil of Pickerington; brother Michael (Cathy) Hunter of New Orleans, Louisiana; grandchildren Jennifer “Jeff” Stull of Millfield, Jeff “Crystal” McCollister of Logan, Laura “Erik” Martinson of Pickerington, Joe “Penny” McCune of Glouster, Amy “Jody” Beaver of Albany; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard McCollister; son-in-law Chris Stancil; 4 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Friday October 23, 2026 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Delbert Winegardner officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.

Calling hours will be 5-7pm Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Donna’s memory to the York Township Fire Dept Christmas for Kids.
