Gary K. Campbell, beloved husband, Dad, and Papaw, passed away Tuesday October 27, 2026, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.

Gary was 81, born on January 9, 1945, in Athens, Ohio to the late Clyde and Lora Jane (Lowes) Campbell of Nelsonville, Ohio.

As a soldier, Gary served his country proudly from 1963-1965 with the United States Army in Berlin, Germany.

Highly skilled in both technical trade and public administration, Gary’s career spanned working as a welder at the Poston Power Plant and serving as the Service Director for Nelsonville.
Gary is survived by his wife, Karen with 60 years of love; sister, Marjorie (Charles) Anderson; sister-in-law, Diane Campbell; children, Angela (Pat) Bohyer and Ryan Campbell of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Corrine and Mackenzie Campbell and Ethan and Audrey Bohyer; great-grandchild, Isabella Caldwell; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Campbell.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his boating adventures, and driving around the neighborhood on his beloved tractor.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 2, 2026, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. David Roach officiating. Burial will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed from 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday, November 1, 2026, and 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. on Monday, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Scarlet and Grey scholarship fund. Make checks payable to the NHS ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
