Gary Lynn Young, age 81, of Logan, Ohio, passed away December 3, 2025, at his residence.

Gary was born October 13, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio to Wilbur Eugene Young and Forest Rose Young. He was a graduate of Nelsonville H.S.; an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War; member of the Pleasant Hill Global Church; retired from AEP; and a retired pilot.    

Surviving are his wife, Ellen Young; stepsons, Ronald (Lindsey) James of Columbus, Ohio, Robert (Lisa) James of Indiana, and David (Shannon) James of Indiana; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and niece, Marilyn Ogen.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Judy Young; brother, Richard Young; and a nephew, David Young.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:00 P.M., at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Mike Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Ilesboro Cemetery, Ilesboro, Ohio, where Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.

Calling hours will be observed from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. on Saturday December 13, 2025, at the funeral home.
