Howard Thomas Solt

Howard left this world on July 1, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1938, in Sugar Grove Ohio. Howard graduated from Canal Winchester High School in Ohio in 1956. He then joined the United States Army and was deployed to Germany for three years. After his service, he began working at Western Electric in Reynoldsburg Ohio where he retired after 31 years. Howard was also a Ferrier and graduated from Mineral Wells Ferrier School in Texas.

He enjoyed carpentry, remodeling homes, and small farming with his Belgian horses. Howard loved singing and playing his guitar. He performed at the Paint Valley Jamboree in Bainbridge Ohio, where he also emceed for eleven years. He loved being outdoors, hiking, hunting, fishing, horse back riding and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed  traveling with his wife. Howard loved spending time with his family and helping anytime he was needed.

Howard was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Howard (Doc) and Hazel Solt, along with his sisters, Beverly Richardson, Geri Baughman and Joyce Porter. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Beverly (Reed) Solt; his children Kristi Giordano, Karen Anderson, and Jared (Andrea) Solt; and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

“Your strongest trials now are past, your race is run, on angel wings you have gone to your immortal home” We are but one breath away until we meet again.

Howard will be laid to rest at Betzer Cemetery in Carroll Ohio with a private graveside funeral and a celebration of life to follow.
