Louis “Lou” Edward Taulbee Jr. of Rockbridge Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on May 26, 2025, after battling ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Lou was born May 18, 1958, in Columbus Ohio to Louis Edward Taulbee Sr. and Ramona Taulbee. He retired from Miller Brothers Construction in Plain City, where he earned the respect of his coworkers and took pride in his job. He was a proud supporter of the NRA; loved hunting, the Cleveland Browns, and being Papaw; and was a member of the Voice of Faith Temple.
He is survived by his beloved family who were by his side during his final moments and whose lives he touched in countless ways: his wife of almost 33 years, Jill Taulbee; and children, Megan (Caleb) Branson, Whitney (Joshua) Foltz, Colton (Meka) Taulbee, Cayden (Sydney) Taulbee and Rachel Mason.
And his 5 grandchildren, Kooper Branson, Foster Branson, Felicity Kilbarger, Isabell Taulbee, and Lorelai Taulbee, mother of Ramona Taulbee; siblings, Marsha Myers, Paula (Dan) Brandon, Brad Taulbee, and Jo Ellen Saunders; and several nieces and nephews.
Also his friend, that was like son, Brandon Bledsoe; cousin, that was like brother, Tom Taulbee; and best friend, that was like a brother, Jack Klump.
Lou was preceded in death by his father, Louis Taulbee Sr. and brother-in-law, Mike Myers.
Those who knew Lou will remember his quiet strength, warm smile, and deep love for his friends and family.
Funeral Services were held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Melissa Collinsworth Officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.
Calling hours will be observed 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
