Marlene S. Allen, age 76, of Logan, Ohio, passed away March 15, 2026, at The Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.

Marlene was born November 18, 1949, in Logan, Ohio to Harley Chambers and Carrie Linscott. She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church of Logan for 44 years. Marlene had a very deeply rooted faith in God, and the church and family were her everything. She was also a caretaker for many years, caring for family, friends, and as a home health aide. Marlene loved game nights with Carrie, Sue, and Helen. She was known for her love of singing and playing the spoons.

Surviving are her children, Teresa (Billy) Gibson, Derrick (Karen) Allen, Lorena (Jeff Miller) Howell, and Carrie (Mark) Bowersock; grandchildren, Amanda, Jacob, Josh, Brian, Shawn, Kayla, Kenny, Shanna, Kenneth, Tamara, Nichole, and Britney; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Marlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Allen; parents; son, Donald Melvin; granddaughter, Brandy Bishop; and siblings, Richard Chambers, Harley “Gene” Chambers, Raymond Chambers, Mary Conner, Edith Schultz, and Pam Holtz.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio with Derrick Allen officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026, and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2026, prior to the service at the funeral home.
