Robert L. “Bob” Kestner, age 81, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away December 10, 2025, at The Laurels of Athens, Ohio.

Bob was born May 24, 1944, in Jackson, Ohio to Raymond “Major” Kestner and Hazel Kestner. He was a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church.                        

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Frances “Fran” Kestner; sons, John Kestner of Arizona, Ron (Tricia) Kestner of West Virginia, and Keith Mulford of Nelsonville; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Kestner of Grove City; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Major and Hazel Kestner; grandparents, who raised him, Clyde and Rosetta Moore; sister, Caroline (Dick) Grandy; and sister-in-law, Kay Kestner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday December 15, 2025, at the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastors Mike Thomas and Andy Stine officiating. 

Calling hours will be observed 9-11 am Monday at the church.
