Rodney Patrick Blackburn, age 58, of Logan, Ohio, passed away suddenly on December 8, 2025, at his home.

Rodney was born March 17, 1967, in San Bernardino, CA to Stanley R. Sr.  and Emma A. Blackburn. Rodney was a previous member of the Logan Eagles. He loved playing pool, spoiling the grandkids, listening to rock music, going mud running, and fishing.

Surviving are his children, Daniele (Chris) Nixon and Morgan Blackburn; grandchildren, Dalton Jones, Christopher Nixon Jr, and Rilynn Nixon; siblings, Diane Lloyd, Mark (Linda) Blackburn, Bobby Blackburn, and Sammy Blackburn; sister-in-law, Linda Balckburn; and friends, Dan Dougherty, Lloyd Williams, Pat Dougherty, and numerous others.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley R. Sr. and Emma A. Blackburn; siblings, Rick Blackburn, Randy Blackburn, and Stanley Blackburn Jr; and brother-in-law, Melvin “Gary” Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2025
