Ruth Ellen Heartshorn Leasure, known by many as “Gabby”, at the age of 68, left her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior, on June 18, 2026, after a short illness. 

Ruth Ellen was born to Chester and Alcadana (Rheinscheld) Hartshorn on October 23, 1957.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Chester Ray HartshornHartshorn, Richard Hartshorn, and Janet Braglin.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Leasure; siblings, Phyllis (Tim) Brown, of Logan, Robert Hartshorn of Lancaster, David (Pat) Hartshorn, of Bremen, and Mary Ebbrecht of Circleville; and special friend, Mary Buckley of Logan.

Ruth worked several years at Logan Healthcare and Lancaster Sales, Logan, Ohio.

She attended church at First Church Praise and Worship Center, Logan, Ohio, where she taught Children’s Sunday School, attended Bible Study, and other special services. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at First Church Praise and Worship Center, Logan, Ohio. Pastor Keller and Pastor Martin will be officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.
