Stephanie McAfee, age 64, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. Born on August 20, 1961, Stephanie lived life entirely on her own terms. She was a vibrant, free-spirited soul who brought warmth, creativity, and a touch of stubborn independence to everyone who knew her. Affectionately known as “Aunt Steph” to countless children over the years, she had a natural gift for making kids feel loved, protected, and welcome. Stephanie was a woman of simple pleasures and deep passions. She was a fierce, lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers, never missing a chance to cheer on her team. An avid crafter, she poured her heart into creating handmade pieces for those she cared about. She found peace in life’s quiet moments, sharing a smoke, relaxing, and enjoying the devoted companionship of her beloved dog, Maggie. Stephanie is reunited in death with her daughter, Erica Pearce; her father, James McAfee, and his wife, Mildred; her mother, Mary Jack, and her husband, Jim; her sister, Iva; and her deeply missed boxer, Sadie. Her memory will be kept alive by her daughter, Jessi Peterson, and her husband, David; her cherished grandchildren, Noahh Baum, Devin Pearce, Hunter Baum, Deegan Smith, and Gabriella Baum; and her precious great-granddaughter, Addi Smith. She also leaves behind her sisters, Christina and Michelle; her brother, Michael; her faithful dog, Maggie; and a large circle of extended family, bonus nieces and nephews, and friends who will miss her unforgettable spirit.
