Thelma M. Carrel, age 74, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away August 19, 2026, at Arbors of Carroll, Carroll, Ohio.

Thelma was born October 24, 1951, in Lancaster, Ohio to Homer Frank Sr. and Etta Frank. Thelma loved doing word searches, and watching game shows and OSU Football.

Surviving are her son, David Carrel; 2 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Frank, Marvin (Debbie) Frank, and Robert Frank; sisters, Lucille Shaffer, Elsie Wilson, Joyce (Shawn) Strosnider, Rose Hines, and Linda Frank; and sisters-in-law, Wilma and Bev.

Thelma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer Carrel; parents, Homer Sr. and Etta Frank; son, Joey Carrel; brother, Homer Frank Jr; and brothers-in-law, Gail Shaffer, Ray Wilson, and Claud Hines.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. Burial will be in Morgan Chapel Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the funeral home prior to the funeral.

The family would like to express special thanks to the Arbors of Carroll and FairHoPe Hospice for their wonderful care of Thelma.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made through the funeral home to help with final expenses.
