Tonya Jo Taylor, age 49, of The Plains, Ohio, passed away June 17, 2025, at her residence.

Tonya was born August 29, 1975, in Athens, Ohio to Gregory Taylor and Debbie Smith Taylor. She loved her niece & nephews, her cats Bubby & Sissy, and watching True Crime.                        

Surviving are her mother, Debbie Taylor of The Plains; sister, Toni (Tim) Cook of Logan; half-brother, Gregory Taylor of Athens; brother-in-law, Mike Mossburger; nephews and niece, Caleb Mossburger of The Plains, Conner Mossburger of The Plains, Kayla McGuire (Patrick) of Missouri, and Jacob Bailey of Logan; and several aunts and uncles.

Tonya was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Taylor; sister, Trina Mossburger; and grandparents, Charles and Shirley Smith, and Delmar and Olive Taylor.

Graveside services were held at 1 P.M., Monday June 23, 2025, at the Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield, Ohio with Pastor Gary Alton officiating.

In lieu of flower, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with Tonya’s funeral expenses.

Arrangements are by Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville, Ohio.
