Virgil B. Woodson, age 63, of Sugar Grove, Ohio, passed away September 30. 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital, Newark, Ohio.

Virgil was born August 2, 1963, in Logan, Ohio to Virgil L. Woodson and Betty June Davis Woodson. He was a graduate of Logan-Hocking HS; his main enjoyment was all aspects of mud racing; and worked as a maintenance man for all his life.              

Surviving are his cousin, Mary Fink; along with many other cousins; best friend, Harley Beaty and his family; special neighbor, Jim Bowman; many friends; and his mud racing buddies.

Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 infant brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Diora Edgel officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the funeral home.
