Vivian Kilbarger McClaskie of Logan, age 89, passed away on February 13, 2026, at home.
Vivian was born on December 14, 1936, in Sugar Grove to Paul and Susie Kilbarger. Vivian was a graduate of Berne Union High School. She was a long-term employee of Sears in Lancaster, and she retired from Columbia Gas Transmission in Sugar Grove. Vivian was an avid gardener, loved being outdoors, and taking long country walks.
Vivian was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert McClaskie, as well as her brothers, Harold, Paul, Howard, and Ron.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Carothers Bell and her son, Charles “Chip” (Pat) Carothers, Jr., as well as granddaughter Tara (Mike) Manning and grandson Charles, III.
She is also survived by her sister, Judi Nafzger; brother, Ken (Jan) Kilbarger; and great-grandchildren, McKenna and Micheal.
A graveside service will be held for the family at a future date.
Arrangements are by the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio.
