Darlene H. Mahaffey

Darlene H. Mahaffey, 70, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on November 14, 1955, to Robert V. Sigler and Betty A Sigler, in Logan, Ohio at the Logan Hospital. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unconditional love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Darlene was the beloved wife of Danny R. Mahaffey, with whom she shared 51 (July 19, 1975) wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Together they built a beautiful family that was the center of Darlene’s life. She was an amazing and devoted mother to Daniel G. Mahaffey of Logan, and Matthew R. Mahaffey and his wife Melissa N. Mahaffey of Logan. Darlene’s greatest joy, however, was being a grandmother- a title she cherished above all others. Her grandchildren were truly her world, and she loved them more than words could ever express. Left to treasure her memory are four beloved grandchildren, Madelyn J. Mahaffey and Brody R. Mahaffey of Murrells Inlet, SC, Ashton J. Mahaffey and Danika R. Mahaffey of Logan. She filled their lives with endless love, encouragement, and unforgettable memories that they will carry with them always.

Darlene’s siblings, both Sigler’s and Mahaffey’s, are also left to treasure and pass on the memories and love she shared, are Bruce (Wenda) Sigler of Logan, Alan (Annie) Sigler of Logan, Anne Covert (Glenn Roop) of Rockbridge, Craig (Janice) Sigler of Zanesville, Mike (Vicki) Mahaffey of Logan, Mark (Debbie) Mahaffey of Logan, Jay Mahaffey of Logan. Darlene was blessed to be called aunt by so many nieces and nephews, and loved each of you deeply!

Darlene was preceded in death by her loving parents Robert V. Sigler and Betty A. Sigler, as well as two siblings Dean Sigler and Sally Sigler.

Darlene will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends. Her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone around her, and her memory will continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched.

Visitation services will be held on Monday May 25, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, 204 W. Main St. Logan, Ohio 43138. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday May 26, 2026, and officiated by Pastor Stacey (Ben) Crawford, a special family friend.

Darlene will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Though she will be deeply missed, the love Darlene gave so freely will live on forever in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
