Debra Sue Bookman

 Debra Sue Bookman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, passed away peacefully at her home, following an extended illness.

Born on January 5, 1960, to Phillip and Barbara DeLong. Debra lived a life marked by hard work, determination, and love for her family.

Debra dedicated 22 years of service to the Logan Goodyear Plant. Never one to stop learning, she went on to achieve a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Later years she found fulfillment working at Fairfield Medical Center, where she enjoyed serving the patients and working with her co-workers.

Debra found joy outside of her career through the simple pleasure of life, her deep love of animals, especially horses, which held a deep spot in her through her life. She enjoyed gardening and creating beautiful spaces. Debra cherished time with her family and her special lifelong friends, Deanna Holmes, and Connie Hatfield.

Debra is survived by her husband Tim Bookman; sons, Tim (Julie) Bookman of Logan and David Bookman of Logan; daughter, Tiffani Travis (C.J.) of Nelsonville; brothers, Stephen (Loreen) DeLong of Logan, and Phillip (Sandy) DeLong of Logan; along with 8 grandchildren.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tony DeLong; and nephew, Michael.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, October 7, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.

Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2026, at the funeral home.
