Donald “Donnie” Bennett

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald “Donnie” Bennett, who left us unexpectedly on August 15, 2026. Born on June 29, 1984, in the close-knit community of Logan, Ohio, Donnie brought light and laughter to all who knew him.


Donnie was the beloved son of Bernard and Barbara Bennett (Nelson). He was preceded in death by his cherished grandparents, Douglas and Claris Courtney, and Donald and Marge Bennett, whose love and wisdom shaped his life. He is survived by his parents; precious daughter, Kaydence Diehl, who was the apple of his eye and the source of his greatest pride; his brother, Douglas Bennett; half-sister, Stephanie Bennett; half-brother, Daeton Bennett; and three stepsisters, also carry forward his legacy of kindness and humor.


A proud alumnus of Berne Union Schools, class of 2003, Donnie was a dedicated craftsman and found joy in creating beautiful pieces that reflected his artistic spirit. He shared a special bond with his stepsister Ashley, with whom he spent countless hours crafting and creating memories. Donnie’s passion for making others smile was infectious; he had an innate ability to bring laughter into any room; always ready with a joke or a helping hand, Donnie was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he met.


In honor of Donnie’s life and his caring spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, continuing his legacy of giving and compassion.


Donnie will be cremated, and a celebration of his remarkable life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and remember the joy he brought into their lives.


Though he is no longer with us, Donnie’s laughter and love will echo in our hearts forever. As we say goodbye, we cherish the memories and the profound impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
