Joseph Thomas Kelty, age 93, of Plankinton, SD, passed away September 3, 2026, at his son’s home in Logan, Ohio.

Joe was born November 6, 1932, in Plankinton SD to Frank and Esther Kelty. He served in the US Army; a retired cattle rancher; like spending time with his son Mike at Top Dog; and enjoyed his nickname of “Grandpa Joe.”         

Surviving are his son, Mike (Misty) Kelty and 4 daughters.

Grandpa Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Kelty; sons, Dennis and Thomas; and his parents, Frank and Esther Kelty.

Calling hours will be observed on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 6 to 8 P.M., at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.

The Hocking County Honor Guard will conduct a Military service at 7:45 P.M. at the funeral home.
