Scott passed away on August 24, 2026, surrounded by his family after an extended illness. He was the beloved son of Jerry and Bev Carter. He grew up in Gahanna, Ohio and was a proud graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High class of 1977.

Scott was a passionate OSU Buckeye fan and an OSU Alumni. During football season you could hear him cheering for his Buckeyes.

He worked in the car business for 37 years, in many roles in the sales department. In recent years he enjoyed his days finding garage and barn sales and selling antiques.

Scott leaves behind his wife of 16 years, JoAnna (Kimes) and two sons, Charlie and Owen. Also, 3 children from a previous marriage, Jeremy, Tara and Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Bev Carter.

A celebration of his life was on Saturday August 29, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Logan, Ohio. Friends visited beginning at 11:00 am at FBC.

People were invited to “wear your Ohio State gear and share stories of Scott.”
